Traffic Overview Dashboard

This report tells you about your traffic sources so you can see which traffic sources are converting and which are not.

This dashboard will identify who sends you website traffic.

Traffic Source Diversity

If you focus to get only one type of traffic you might end up with no traffic at all one day. Say for example that Google changes its algorithm. What will you do if your traffic is 80% from Google and you lose it all overnight?

The same applies for referrals, which might remove the links to your site and direct traffic, who are returning visitors who may not purchase your product/service multiple times.

So you want an even spread of traffic sources. See table on right for a good balance.

A Good Traffic Balance

  • 50% Organic Traffic
  • 25% Referral Traffic
  • 20% Direct traffic
  • 5% Campaigns and other sources

What To Look Out For On This Dashboard

Good Traffic Balance Between Sources

Means less reliance on 1 particular traffic source.

Identify Converting Traffic Sources

Spend more money improving these traffic sources.

Identify Converting Keywords

Consider SEO to boost them even further. Remember that the results can be exponential here. So if you’re ranking in position 3 for a keyword that converts well, a position 1 ranking could triple or quadruple the results!

Basically, check the conversion rate in the tables so you can see not only who sends you traffic, but also who sends you traffic that converts, which is a lot more valuable!
